Career Summary
Today, Bowman and her firm, Supersuasion Marketing,
LLC, provide comprehensive marketing and business development
products, programs and services to a wide range of clients across
the country. Because of her unique professional background,
however, she has been especially successful working with financial
advisors and estate planning attorneys.
Before creating her own firm, Bowman served as
Director of Public Relations and Communications for the
American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, La Jolla, California.
While in that role, she created the first comprehensive
member marketing, public relations and communications programs
for this organization of estate planning attorneys across the
country. Among the programs she developed were four comprehensive
marketing and consumer-seminar programs on the topics of Family
Limited Partnerships, Long-term Health Care Planning, the Irrevocable
Life Insurance Trust, and the Charitable Remainder Trust.
She also wrote the organization's quarterly member
newsletter, produced over 40 ghostwritten articles, and wrote
eight highly acclaimed consumer brochures on a variety of estate
planning topics. She co-directed the organization's Marketing
Coordinator Training Program, and conducted several training
programs for attorneys and their staffs.
Her career in the financial services industry
began in 1985 when she took on the role of Vice President, Director
of Marketing Communications for E. F. Hutton Life Insurance
Company, headquartered in La Jolla, California. (The firm was
later acquired by First Capital Holdings, Corp., and renamed
First Capital Life.)
Among her achievements at First Capital were
the creation of the first nationally-implemented major marketing
program aimed at educating women about their retirement planning
options. She also pioneered the so-called "IRA Alternative"
program, a sales campaign that would soon be widely copied throughout
the insurance industry.
She left her home town of San Diego in 1991,
and moved to Colorado to serve as Vice President, Marketing
Administration and Communications for Life Partners Group, Englewood,
Colorado. While there, she created and launched Fiscal Fitness
for Women, a highly successful seminar-based sales program
for women, and a senior marketing campaign.
Bowman attended San Diego State University, graduating
cum laude and with distinction in her major, English.
She is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations
Society of America, the premiere professional organization for
public relations practitioners.
